MEET AILEEN HOLLAND
Meet Aileen Holland, our Studio Director at Clearspace.
Aileen manages our design and project team, playing a critical part in our mission of delivering better space for more people. Aileen has spent her entire career of 24 years in design at top design firms like Gensler - she's driven by a deep passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces.
Today, she brings spaces to life by putting together a team of talented people who share her commitment to excellence. Aileen believes that great design is born from collaboration, where diverse perspectives come together to solve problems and create environments that inspire.
Aileen’s journey in design and construction began in Dublin, Ireland, where she studied Architectural Technology. From an early age, she was fascinated by how things are built and the impact of great design. Her career took her across the globe, including a transformative year in Australia and New Zealand, where she discovered her passion for interior design. Her professional experience deepened when she moved to London, UK, and joined Gensler, one of the world's largest and most prominent design and architecture firm.
Over a decade in London, Aileen played a key role in managing corporate workplace interior projects for major law firms and financial services companies like JP Morgan and Capital International. In 2017, she relocated to Toronto to be closer to her husband's family and continue her work. Her expertise expanded to include projects for leading tech firms like Klick, Konrad, TextNow, and Meta. Her last role before joining us at Clearspace was leading one of Gensler's Workplace Studios in Toronto.
In 2023, Aileen joined Clearspace, bringing with her incredible experience in design leadership. Her focus is on leading a team that delivers beautiful, functional, and inspiring spaces. She's taken our design team to a new level, building a team that serves top tenant projects alongside the model suite business that Clearspace started.
For her, it's about more than just delivering a project—it's about creating spaces that people look forward to being in every day.

Outside of the work, Aileen is a keen runner and a lover of the outdoors. Running is her way of staying grounded, providing her with the time and space to think clearly and recharge. She has participated in several races, and is currently training for a half marathon along Toronto’s waterfront. Aileen also cherishes time spent exploring Ontario’s Provincial Parks with family and friends. Whether it’s camping, canoeing, backcountry trips, or winter cabin stays, she enjoys disconnecting from the hustle and bustle to appreciate the natural beauty of Ontario.
Her leadership continues to shape the future of Clearspace, fostering a culture where creativity thrives, and every space becomes a place people truly want to be.
